Pre-Program of the International Malbec Days

The pre-program of our International Malbec Days held in Cahors is now available. Our guest of honor will be the Malbec from Argentina.

The event will be held on the magnificent and emblematic bridge of Cahors, the Valentré bridge and in the "Espace Valentré" next to it.

Friday April 4, 2008 - Cahors, capital of Malbec

- Afternoon: Espace Valentré - Tasting, panel of experts. This half-day is reserved to enology students.

- From 7:30 PM: VIP event (Espace Valentré) - Diner and tasting of the Malbecs of the World. On invitation only (journalists, trade).

Saturday April 5, 2008 - Malbec, grape of the 21st Century?

8:30-12:00 AM: Conference (Valentré Bridge) - International speakers on enology, economy and marketing. Free.

12:00-6:00 PM: Professional Exhibition (Pont Valentré) - gastronomical buffet, tasting booths on the bridge. Presentation of the 2007 vintage of the AC Cahors. Upon invitation (journalists, trade).

From 7:30 PM: Open event (Espace Valentré) - gastronomical buffet and tasting of the Malbecs of the World in a lounge and wine bar type space. Upon reservation for a 30€ fee.

Sunday April 6, 2008 - Let's party!

From 10:30 AM to 6:00 PM, come and taste the Malbec of Cahors and other areas on the Valentré bridge entirely covered and decorated for the day. Free entrance upon the buying of the Cahors glass (5€).
